Highway 99 southbound lane reduction this weekend near Ashlan
Expect 20- to 30-minute delays through the work zone.

Caltrans District 6 will reduce Highway 99 southbound to two lanes between the Shaw Avenue and Ashlan Avenue exits this Saturday and Sunday, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, to replace two overhead message signs.
Drivers should expect 20- to 30-minute delays through the work zone during peak periods and are urged to use Highway 41 as an alternate route through central Fresno.
The project is part of Caltrans' broader effort to modernize traveler-information signs along the Highway 99 corridor from Sacramento to Bakersfield. All work is weather-dependent — heavy wind or rain could push the schedule.
Real-time updates will be posted on the Caltrans QuickMap app and on the district's X account.
