Highway 99 closed at Clinton Ave after multi-vehicle accident; major delays expected

A multi-vehicle accident has shut down all southbound lanes of Highway 99 at Clinton Avenue early this morning. Caltrans expects the closure to last several hours.

California Highway Patrol is on scene and asks drivers to avoid the area entirely. Suggested alternates: Golden State Boulevard southbound, or Blackstone Avenue to Shaw and back to 99.
