Bulldogs football upsets Boise State 27-24 in Mountain West opener

A 42-yard field goal by kicker Dylan Lynch with 8 seconds remaining lifted the Fresno State Bulldogs to a 27-24 upset win over No. 22 Boise State on Saturday night at Valley Children's Stadium, sending an announced crowd of 39,412 into a roar.
Quarterback Mikey Keene finished 24-of-33 for 312 yards and two touchdowns, including a 38-yard strike to Jalen Moreno-Cropper in the third quarter that tied the game. Running back Malik Sherrod added 118 yards on 22 carries.
"This is what we came here to do — beat ranked teams at home," head coach Jeff Tedford said afterward. "The Red Wave was loud tonight."
The Bulldogs (4-1, 1-0 MW) travel to San Diego State next Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
